What Sets You Apart: Your Value Added Benefit? An ActiveRain Contest
Most of us are in the service business and we determine how we deliver our services. There are minimum standards and those in related businesses that fall short and leave a bad taste in the mouths of the public. Then there are others that set the bar high, reach it and exceed expectations every chance they get.
When buyers, sellers and consumers pay for a service, they expect to get good service. No matter what business or trade you work in, you meet the public and have a chance to impress or not impress. Exceeding expectations is what earns us repeat business, referrals and endorsements. It is just good business.
For this challenge, think about your service and what you do differently than you competition. What sets you apart and what you consider to be your value added benefit? It may be you just bond with your clients and therefore you have a really good relationship all the way through. I have heard others that they pitch in and offer to help a client move or offer them a place to stay.
Maybe you stay so close in touch that the client never has to second guess what is going to happen next. Maybe you throw in a home warranty or a free home inspection to set yourself apart from the competition. Could it be you save the best for after the sale with a really unique thank you gift that keeps the client thinking about you for a long time to come?
- Write a post explaining why your service is better than the competition and what sets you apart.
- Explain what your value added benefit is to the client. This sharing of ideas will help each of us expand our thinking and see how we can possibly improve.
- Make the post at least 300 words (hey, that isn't hard to do because you are talking about service).
- Post a link to your contest entry (make sure you make it open in a new window) in a comment on this contest post.
