st, the long awaited Chihuly Exhibit opens on June 14, 2014 at the Denver Botanic Gardens.
This famed American artist is one of my personal favorites. His imaginative work brings bright bursts of color and creative flow to the world of studio glass art.
I remember shortly after the Ellie Caulkins Opera House opened in 2005, I practically shouted with glee as I immediately recognized Chiluly's work in the atrium. An amazing chandelier of golden tendrils complimented the elegance of the theatre. This dazzling display of glasswork was given as a gift to the City of Denver by several Patrons of the Arts. (Who obviously have exquisite taste!)
Definitely take the time to visit Denver Botanic Gardens this summer and experience the magic of Chihuly. It's the first ever outdoor exhibit of Chihuly's work here in the Rocky Mountain area so it's a definite must see!
