Most Realtors Never See Success
I would bet this applies to all sales positions!
Without it, it would be tough to get up and put one foot in front of the
other. Nice post! Thought I would re-blog it.
What is Success in Real Estate Sales
One thing you can say that success is NOT selling four homes a year – unless maybe they are over $1,000,000 each or more. If that were the case then you may be earn $120,000 and after you take out the IRS share, and your brokers share you are still earning less than $100,000 a year.
For those who do only sell four homes a year which is the average of agents according to NAR that would $19,000 to $29,000 net after taxes and broker share, and that wasn’t much 25 years ago and if you are still at that same amount in the year 2014 you surely know there is no success in sales with that kind of an income.
How can we change this?
Well unfortunately someone years ago began spreading the word there was a lot of money to be made in sales and especially real estate sales only thing is that word spread from hearing of about 2.7% of real estate agents production. There just isn’t enough to go around for as many as there are with real estate license.
Consistent Determination Passion Persistent
Beginning next week I will be posting a sales tip every day, some things that have lead to my success in: helping over 1,500 clients sell or buy a home, publish two books on it and acquiring my DTM in Toastmasters.
In a few months I will begin speaking again this time to Realtors in other states and cities to assist them with increasing their production.
To me one requirement is PASSION I have been fortunate to have that from the day I got my first commission check in 1978 in Columbus Ohio.
Thinking about those four words, I was thinking if you don’t have at least 52% of two of those strongly imbedded into your business plan, selling may not be your forte. What do you think?
