HOW TO SPOT PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE AGENTS

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

In every profession, there are people who stand out and they are called professionals. Professional defined: one who has special education, who possesses distinctive qualities with confidence, one who practices their highest being....all these convey an extraordinary person in their field. A person who becomes a professional has developed themselves into a marketable value

PRO...for short

A professional or a real pro as we call them earned the meaning of the above words. They live them. When you see a anyone practicing traits as described, you are moved to recognize a professional at work whatever field of endeavor they are in.

PROS EXPRESS AND IMPRESS

I have seen professional cooks, electricians, plumbers, escrow and title officers, doctors, nurses, bus drivers, retail personnel, military officers and many more who change your life just by them being professional in what they do. It is not something you easily forget. How a person CONDUCTS themselves in their profession contributes to their being called a professional. They leave that special impression.

How to spot a professional Real Estate Agent..........

1. Stands out for a good reason. More than just a person who has a license. They like what they do and it shows up in their daily life. Well rounded, inviting, approachable and likable.

2. Knows what they are talking about and more importantly..... knows when they do not know something and says so. Its called credibility.

3. Can genuinely listen and then decide to comment or not. When called upon, can focus and do their part without hesitation

4. Is available. In Real Estate, the largest transaction of a persons life, everyone wants an agent that is available. Bears repeating that ALL PARTIES to the transaction want this. Knows better than to not respond realizing that in Real Estate communications are vital and sets example for this

5. Experience fills the air wherever a pro goes promoting a confidence.  If a new professional agent is at work, their eagerness to learn and please is what the newbie employs on their way to gaining experience and the result makes their moves look very attractive.

6. When a pro speaks, they demonstrate how they will represent you. After-all, they will negotiate for your best interests and if you like them, so will others too. Speaks directly, plainly, clearly with eye contact and to the point.

7. Can explain what they do, how they do it, and why in just a few brief seconds. It was known as the business card test. If you cannot explain everything on your business card in 3-5 seconds, it just ain't you!

8. Can comment on what things cost or find out and get back to you. Either way, that makes an impression. A pro on the go!

9. Doesn't bring up money ever. In fact, they are the last to bring up the subject. You want them and it is understood they reasonably charge for services. You are glad to have found them and they are content to do what they love knowing the results will follow

10. Is current on what is going on in the market and can comment in layman's terms. Can explain where we are going and how to get there.

11. Knows their documents and what is needed in writing to support, protect and accomplish a successful transaction.

12. Ethics, honesty and integrity leak out of their pores.  Pros are not bound by ritual or mechanics and can also think out of the box. If things get rough & tough, they can finish what was started. They can be counted on to get you to the promised land. It's over when it is over is their thinking

13. NO EXCUSES...pros do or do not do something...Excuses are not allowed

How to spot a professional Real Estate Agent?.......These are just a few of the things to look for

Oh, and by the way, these Professional agents are looking for you too!

#9 is something that I do bring up, and I'm very professional about it.  When a buyer contacts me, it's important to have the money talk at some point.  Good list Richie.

Hello Frank...it has taken a back seat to ho-hum hope it gets done dynamics. The agent is supposed to make sure and is the driving force. A pro drives the force that drives the deal

Richie,

Well done post!     I especially like #2  Credibility!   So many agents just try to "wing it"  and gloss over things they do not know!      I prefer to tell the client I will have to check and admit if I don't have the answer
