A pillar of our office is retiring---- he will be missed

Real Estate Agent with RETIRED 200305001

We have a man that has been at our office well over 30 years. A top producer I might add. He was even a backup Principal Broker when the boss was out. He also was the bus driver for our company tours and the MLS tour. That amounts to 3 times a week.

Retirement had been babbled about for some time, but it was just babble. He took a 2 week vacation and came back for a week. Then family needs called him to another state for 6 weeks. Just before he got back, a close friend nerar his age died unexpectedly.

He decidde to  ail out quietly. First extra furniture left one afternoon, but he rode the tour bus. Then on the weekend his computer and wall art left. I asked others about a party for him, He wants to quietly go. Because of that I cannot mention the name yet.

It will leave a large hole. The ones in the office that pay attention are saddened and others have no clue. I wish him the best as he moves to the next chapter of his life. That chapter is years away for me. Your thoughts?

Good morning Rob. I hear you.  My Mom was in real estate for 42 years and finally retired two years ago.  She thought she'd miss it but said no way would she come back to the work.  Said all the new technology part of real estate isn't worth it to her. Rather she's loving life traveling.

Rob, sometimes the time is right and it's good when people realize it.  Obviously this person will be missed at the company but he'll be enjoying life after many years of working.

Rob - I would still find time to invite him to lunch so you can tell him how much you appreciate him. Good luck.
