Lindsey's knockout roses

Hi everyone-One of the first things I planted in Lindsey's memorial garden was 3 pink & 3 red knockout roses. That was a little over 2 yrs ago I did that. My how they have grown. They are a sight to behold and always make me smile each year.  They truly live up to their name of a KNOCKOUT rose. They bloom profusely all summer long and are disease resistant, unlike many of the other kinds of roses I have.

Here is LINDSEY"S roses. Befitting memorial to my Lindsey girl

Knockout roses

Towards the end of the season last year they had grown so much that I couldn't even get into the garden without straddling the fence and climbing over. So this spring I cut them back enough so I could use the walkway. This is what it looked like after I trimmed them back.

walkwayObviously I needed to cut them back even more because this is what the walkway looks like a couple of days ago and it has grown even more just in those couple of days

Sharon, Your knockout roses are beautiful.  Even though there are supposed to be "easy to care for" I'm constantly fussing with them.

Love the roses and love the huge number of blooms. Just planted some Knockout roses at a spec home. Might have got them a little to close to the sidewalk based on your photos.

Hi Sharon - wow!  Abundant is the first word that comes to mind when looking at this garden tribute to Lindsay.  Incredible almost seems insufficient but I guess it would be the second word.

Debbie Laity -I am most happy with her garden. There are a few spots I have to get some persisent crabgrass taken care of but for the most part I am happy with it. The roses are even bigger now
