Fishhawk Falls is located at Lee Wooden State Park. This last May, when my friend, Sharon Lee came all of the way from Virginia for a visit, this was one of the places we stopped to enjoy. It was a gorgeous day--she brought great weather with her. It was her first visit to Oregon.
This park is very quiet, located on Highway 202, heading towards Astoria. Most of the time no one is there, and it's just a short walk from the parking lot to this magnificent sight!
It is nice to know that waterfalls are hemorrhaging water somewhere, Gayle. Our's seem almost dry as a bone!
Gary, we had such a great time that day! We headed to Cannon Beach, but it was really hot and there were way too many people! So, we got back in the truck and headed for cooler temps and far less people. We only saw one fella, just as we were done and heading back to the parking lot.

Mryl~oh how I have worried for you all! I think about water and our future loss of it frequently. I don't waste water and appreciate all of it!

Wayne, it's a fabulouse rushing/wooshing sound and then gets more mellow as the year progresses.

Debbie, although this is about a half hour's drive from Fishhawk Lake, it's worth it--especially for those four-leggeds who like to play in shallow waters.
