Pleasant Hill’s real estate market hasn’t seen many highs or lows throughout the last year. As far as the median sale price, year over year we have seen a 2% increase, from $580,000 last May to $590,000 in May 2014. This differs from many Bay Area cities. Similarly, the number of properties sold in Pleasant Hill has remained steady, with a 0% increase/decrease over the last year. The lack of increases on all levels isn’t necessarily a bad thing, Pleasant Hill is simply remaining very consistent. A varying stat coming out of Pleasant Hill is the number of new listings coming on the market. Not a large variance but a change at that. There has been a 7% decrease year over year, from 43 to 40. Pleasant Hill just doesn’t have too much news report. We’ll see what next month brings.
