I stopped writing about MG on the Halifax after the new owners came. I was not sure I believed in their quick formulas, and seems like I was right, at least partially, but they adjusted and things have changed to the better…
I was receiving a lot of calls about the project, and noticed that callers would turn to Marina Grande salespeople, and negotiating with them, as they expected better deals from the Seller. They used me to get my opinion. Some of them would call and say that they have an agent and are about to sign a contract, but want my opinion…
Life is funny sometimes… most of the time.
It felt as if I was working for the sales center, but without pay, so I stopped.
I still get calls and emails about MG on the Halifax (official name of the development). This request came via Active Rain today. And after a few years of silence I decided to reply.
Note: if you find me knowledgeable, do not go to the Sales Center directly, unless, of course, your only goal is that I am not compensated. After all, you are not paying me, and you are not saving a penny for for doing it. In other words, no matter what you negotiate, I would at worst negotiate the same, and, probably, better as I know more than even in this long and detailed blog post. I am a Real Estate broker, and I am being paid for closings, not for blog posts. And if you do not agree, it would be fair for me to ask you to stop reading right here :)
MG on the Halifax is a two 25-story condominium Towers in Holly Hill. Right on the Intracoastal. Huge unsold inventory, but sales are happening now. Not a pace we saw in crazy times, but steady, and the prices are inching up. A lot of things have happened in MG on the Halifax, a lot of things are happening, both in MG on the Halifax and in Daytona, so changes are here, and more are coming.
Here is the message:
Jon, the MG on Halifax looks gorgeous but I am scared of buying given its history. Whats happening with the buildings now? Are most of the units still empty?
I posted a detailed (long-winded but thoughtful :) responce about the history, state-of-today, and, probably, the future of MG (Marina Grande) on the Halifax on my personal site. Simly follow the link.
