When life gets in the way!

Right there with you, Richard, the real estate hub can sure keep you spinning. That's why Sundays are great to take that break and enjoy life.

Richard- life does get in the way if we let it, and too often we're taught/pushed/urged to let it because of work/getting ahead.  Time is never on our side. 

Richard, I said to another Rainer the other day during a phone conversation ... catching up is an illusion.  We get done what we get done when we get it done.  Time is allocated and spent. Once spent it is gone and more time, future time, must be allocated to complete tasks that did not previously get done.  Time is precious ... it is all we have. We must spend it wisely.  When I am taking time off ... I am truly off the grid. It allows me to recharge and get focused

Take time for the important things in life.

One cannot work 7 days a week, 12-15 hours a day - and should not.

Richard, like the poem.  Yes, life does get in the way.  What we must be careful of are the things that "disrupt" our processes that we focus on to obtain positive results.  Some things are no big deal, while others are... so we must be wise when letting that disruption take place, called life.

Good morning Rich. This is so true, but life is short, so my view is to keep moving and remember what matters to you. I think you do and it isn't often business.

Nice poem.  It is important to have some balance and take some time off from just working all the time. 

You can't change history and you can't go back.

You don't know the future either. 

Seems to me that the NOW is what's important to care for.

Sadly, life is getting in the way of family, but it has been very lean for several yeas and sometimes you need to do what is best in the long run. 

Richard, I got about 1/2 the things on my to do list done this weekend.  The others, perhaps tomorrow or the next day?  Or never?  Only time will tell for sure.  Bill

No time like the present Richard. So many things to do now and so many things we should do today and enjoy. Take time to smell those roses.. or tulips!

So true. When life comes to an end it is most important that the "to do" list does not include "one day spend time with my family."

Thanks for your take of the every day things that distract us while we work. But taking a 5 minute break and listening to the outdoor sounds of things living near pond or early morning birds does have a place in my day.
