How many of you have called or emailed an agent that showed your listing and the agent will not respond or act like it a bother to tell you waht the feedback is? I had an agent just tell me he way too busy to give feedback on every home he shows. He said if they are interested in the property he will let us know otherwise do not call or email him. Our clients need the feedback because the best realtor I have ever know once told me "your dream home is not my dream home" She is right and the feedback is important to not only our sellers but to us as agents.
Wow, as an agent who exclusively works with buyers, I apologize for that agent's rudeness to you. I ALWAYS provide feedback after I show a house, whether it is asked for or not. How else will agents and their clients know how to adapt their selling strategy if they don't get feedback??? I actually have the feedback form on my phone so right after I show a house I submit my feedback in e-mail form to the seller's agent. I think it is our duty as buyer agents to communicate with the seller's agent, so again I am sorry you are having a hard time getting the feedback you need.
Interesting blog. While I believe in assisting with feedback, I must admit that after showing 15-20 homes in a day that I can't remember every home in vivid detail. How can I provide feedback for a home that I can't really remember very well?
Another viewpoint: From their own experience, the listing agent should know what buyers like and what they don't like. It seems to me that feedback is more about appeasing the seller's conscience than really giving constructive criticism.
