One thing I learned many years ago was that all of us need periodic vacations from real estate. With that said, I am still not good at leaving my deals at home and not answering the phone. I still deal with the issues and many people do not even know I am on vacation. I know this is not the best scenario, but many times it is just easier to deal with whatever is happening rather that put it off until I return.
I do have substitute agents to help me when I am gone but kmany times the clients only want to talk to me. My husband and family are understanding. I think they understand because real estate is my life and I work 7 days a week. They are used to me doing real estate wherever I am.
For now, I suggest everyone plan at least one get away week this summer. It is time to reboot ourselves and our business.
