Finally Getting Some Much Needed Rain In Satellite Beach, Florida

 

We haven't had much rain so far this year.  A couple of months ago my sister and I spent the weekend planting flowers in the flower beds front of my house and the sprinkler system we have doesn't cut it in getting them enough water.  So I have had to water them every day, sometimes more than once a day. So I have been very happy on the couple of days we had rain. 

 

We pulled out some vine type plant my husband had planted that was mainly just for ground cover, and kind of ugly. It was a lot lower maintenance though and I have corm to kind if the great it. I will keep that in mind when doing the flower beds next year on our new home. 

 

 

This week we have had some good rain though. Today was the third day. I am hoping it is the beginning of the afternoon storms we usually get in the summer. Not only is the rain good for the flowers and lawns, it will help prevent fires when the humidity drops a bit in the fall.  

 

The rain has come with thunder and lightening though, which really scares my sweet chocolate lab named Cooper. He has been spending a lot of time under my desk.
