THE SHOW WILL GO ON!
You may recall my previous post about Elk River possibly canceling the 4th of July fireworks this year. But, it will be held after all at Lions Park in Elk River, and now an effort is underway to pay for it.
The City of Elk River is seeking donations to close about a $4,000 gap between the amount already in hand and the $15,000 cost of the fireworks.
This year’s event will consist only of the fireworks show at Lions Park. No other activities are planned at the park.
However, this is quite an attraction and draws crowds from all over the area. If your business would like to help, contact Mayor John Dietz or City Hall for more information. And, thank you to all those who have already contributed.
