South Salem High School Softball coach Scott McCormick not only won the State Championships last week, but he had the softball fields at South Salem High named after him too!
After 34 years of coaching, Scott ( I can call him that, I am very good friends with his wife!) has a State Championship to call his own. Saturday, June 7th, Scott led his girls to win the OSAA Class 6A State Championships to a win of 5-3 against North Medford at OSU.
His students rave about him, his family adores him. For those of us that are just friends, we never see him without a smile on his face, especially when he has his Chihuahua's around! So it was our honor to attend the dedication ceremony Monday night of the "Scott McCormick Softball Complex" at South Salem High School.
Way to Go Scott!
