Juneteenth Music Festival - Five Points, Denver. Saturday and Sunday
Juneteenth
is a cultural event celebrated by diverse people of all colors, backgrounds, and nationalities. joining hands to mark the ending of slavery and the beginning of African American independence in the United States. Denver's Juneteenth Music Festival is one of the nation's largest celebrations, drawing in record numbers of festival-goers and participation. The two-day event features live performances, art and cultural exhibitions, and food and commercial vendors; with partners and sponsors ranging from community support networks and organizations, to local and international companies.
Highlands Ranch Carnival - Mountain Vista High School, 10585 Mountain Vista Ridge, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126. Saturday & Sunday 1pm-11pm.
This is the last weekend to catch the Highlands Ranch Carnival! Admission to the carnival grounds is free, and unlimited ride tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at any HRCA Recreation Center.
Colorado Renaissance Festival - 650 W. Perry Park Ave. Larkspur, CO 80118. Saturday & Sunday 10am-6:30pm.
Do you want to travel back in time to the 16th century? If so, then don't miss out on the opening weekend of the Colorado Renaissance Festival. There will be full-armor jousting, tasty turkey legs, music and a marketplace featuring more than 200 artisans. So much to do! In honor of the opening weekend you can pick up tickets at select Wendy's location for a special Buy One-Get One Free deal. You can also purchase tickets online at a discount. Adult tickets are $16.95 ($19.95 at the gate) and children's tickets are $8.00 ($9.00 at the gate). Children under age 5 are free!
World Cup Soccer Celebration - Skyline Park, 16th and Arapahoe Streets, Denver, CO 80202. June 13-16 9am-6pm.
The World Soccer Celebration will run from June 13-16 in downtown Denver,featuring live broadcasts of matches from Brazil on a 20-foot screen in Skyline Park near the 16th Street Mall. The public is invited to this free event that includes four days of live soccer, food and drink vendors, games, giveaways and more. The event will culminate in the U.S. National Team's match against Ghana on Monday, June 16 at 3:30 p.m.
