Debbie, there are places in Honolulu near Waikiki Beach that are beginning to lose the color green -- landscaping, trees, and flowers. Currently there are 22 high rises being built in a very small area. The already conjested traffic will become worse and they will probably need to implement the scene in your photo.

Hi Debbie, is this a "green roof"? I came across a restaurant in Sarasota FL , they planted some small trees and bushes on top of the roof.

Debra, it has to be hot on top of those buildings in the summer so what a welcome relief to have some shade and natural plantings to soften all the brick, concrete, and asphalt that would be around you.

Good Evening Debbie: That is a rare view on top of the roof. For the residents in that area, the sight of those trees will be a treat.

Hi Debbie,

I love to go visit urban cities and see how different they live. Gardens on the roofs remind me of movies I used to see. Patios and barbecue areas up there are such a good idea. Love the picture.
