The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) staff will conduct a Traffic Congestion and Safety Workshop at the Boerne Civic Center (820 Adler Rd., Boerne, TX) on June 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Residents that drive, walk, ride or use transit are encouraged to join the MPO at this important public meeting as they update the region's long range transportation plan.
Attendees will receive an MPO overview briefing and then will be asked to share their traffic congestion concerns during a mapping exercise. Participants will tell the MPO where, when and for how long they experience traffic congestion. Next, participants will do a second mapping exercise sharing their concerns about safety issues related to traveling throughout their neighborhood, city and the region.
Earlier this year, Boerne broke attendance records at an MPO meeting regarding potential funding for upgrades to the area around the intersection of IH-10 and Scenic Loop Rd. This project has been funded. Please join us on Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm to share your views on congestion and safety on Boerne area roads. Together we CAN make a difference.
