The 86th Annual Jubilee Day will be celebrated today Thursday, June 19th until 9 p.m. (always held the 3rd Thursday in June) in the quaint downtown district of Mechanicsburg. Jubilee Day is the largest, longest running one day street fair on the east coast.
The fair originated in 1923 as an agricultural and merchants “thank you” for the support of the community. The event is attended by approximately 70,000 people from all parts of Central Pennsylvania, with a majority coming from the Counties of Cumberland,York, Dauphin, and Adams. People roam the sidewalks of the history rich town from Main to York Streets, from Walnut to Market Streets, and from Simpson Street to Strawberry Avenue.

The 86th anniversary of this annual event features more than 325 vendors from near and far offering food, games, arts & crafts, business information, retail products, carnival rides and more. There is a Children’s Area with activities for the very young, and live entertainment on two stages.
Free shuttle bus service will be offered to bring attendees to the fairfrom Mechanicsburg High School (500 South Broad Street) and Immanuel Church (800 South Market Street). Buses will run on a continuous loop all day to take you back to your car.
