After 8 years of short sales, they still take 6 to 8 months to process in many cases. Why do they take so long to process? It seems many times that the bank employess have no interest in closing the files as when all the files are closed they will not have a job. Through the years, it seems short sales are going slower rather than faster. There is more and more paperwork and regulations and documentation. It seems one little item like a missed punctuation sends the file back for review for another 1-2 weeks. This is so frustrating and so silly.
