~ My Dream Home~
Unfortunately Beazer Homes pulled their operation out of Colorado several years ago. I liked them as a builder. I'm not exactly sure why, but it could have been because of the shift in the real estate market with houses not selling. Now that the Denver real estate market has come back with a vengeance, I hope Beazer Homes might consider coming back to Denver.
For the ActiveRain dream home contest we were asked to write about what option or feature we would most like to see in a new construction home. There are a few things that I would love to have in my dream home. My dream home would be a ranch style home, so all the living space would be on one floor (no stairs!). I would like dark stained wide plank hardwood floors throughout. My study would be at the front of the house, so when clients would come over they would not have to walk through my entire house. (This would allow for some privacy of the family living space.) My master bedroom would have a fantastic 5 piece en suite with a custom tile and also a huge walk-in closet with custom closet organizers and a door with direct access to the laundry room. Say good bye to hauling the dirty laundry through the house and say hello to the hassle free access to the laundry.
The other thing I have always wanted was a craft room or a multi-purpose room. I think it would be cool to have it kind of separate from the house and located above the garage. The access would be by a stairway. This could also be used as a man cave, a media room or a playroom or more. Because the listfor uses is endless, this is the biggest reason as to why this should be a must have option.
Builders are already building some wonderful kitchens. My kitchen would be a gourmet kitchen with a center island and either granite or quartz counters. Quartz counters are beautiful and are non pourus.
The great thing about being a Realtor is that I get to see so many terrific floor plans and decorating ideas. I also get to see some rejects as well!
