Union, NJ, is home to nearly 57,000 people and is served by six primary (PreK-4) schools:

Central Five-Jefferson School serves grade 5, and Burnet Middle School and Kawameeh Middle School serve grades 6 though 8. Union High School serves 2400 students in grades 9-12.

Inventory: There are currently 345 single family homes offered for sale in Union. This is slightly higher than the 12 month average of 329 homes. High inventory creates a buyers market in which the supply exceeds the demand, driving prices down.

Prices: As you'd expect, home prices in Union are sluggish. The average sold home in May was sold for $242,581, just slightly under the 12 month average of $249,456.

Homeowners who are interested in selling their home should have a Comparative Market Analysis to ensure that they are pricing their home competitively. Homes that are in excellent condition sell faster than homes that require repairs or updates.

Days on Market: The average home that sold in Union in May took 147 days to sell - much slower than we've seen in recent months and nearly 40% slower than the 12 month average of 108 days.

Homes that are in excellent condition sell faster and at a higher price than homes that require repairs or updates.

Hi Folks,

I like the format of your market report as it provides very good information and should get buyers or sellers to contact you folks for more data.

Seems, you have a really slow market. Good the there is some flexibility in prices when inventory is high. Hope, it  will pick up a bit now when schools are over.

Thanks for the update on the current market in Union, Wayne and Jean.  Though it's a bit slower, it's still an active market.  147 day average is not all that bad.
