The homes for sale in this neighborhood are typically in very high demand because there's only so many to be had and the neighborhood has a good reputation. Due to a great locale in the southwestern corner of Maple Grove, residents of Bonaire enjoy the best of two worlds; rural and city life.
The community is located off of Lawndale Lane, about a mile south of Basslake Road. The neighboring subdivisions are Prominence Creek, Edgewater Estates, Fieldstone, Sunset Ridge Farms and Whistling Pines.
What are the Houses Like?
There are ten different floorplans that the homes in the Bonaire community use and there are lots of details and customization that make these homes all individuals. The lots are of generous size, ranging from .26 acres on the small end to 1.23 acres on the large lots. These homes are spacious to say the least. The lower end of finished square footage is 2,719 with an unfinished basement and ranging all the way up to 5,004 finished sq ft. Construction of the community began in 2006 and new homes are still being added today. They are all single family two story homes with 4-6 bedrooms and 3-6 bathrooms. You will see 3-car garages attached to these homes.
There is a mandatory home owner's association. They monthly dues are about $138/month. The association covers outside maintenance, professional managegment, and shared amenities such as the community pool that only Bonaire residents can use.
What's Going on Nearby The Bonaire Neighborhood?
The city of Maple Grove is a very popular northwest suburb of Minneapolis. It is well kept and well landscaped. The city is full of popular restaurants and shops including the Arbor Lakes Shopping Center. Residents can feel safe knowing there are state of the art medical facilites in Maple Grove. The Maple Grove Hospital is a 13 minute drive from Bonaire.
There is also an abundance of parks, playgrounds, trails and playfields in the area; many parks that are part of the Three Rivers Park District. The Plymouth Dog Park is a three minute drive from the Bonaire community.
The Rush Creek Golf Club and Shamrock Golf Course are both minutes from Bonaire. There are about 25 places of worship to choose from in Maple Grove. The city also has it's own arboretum and the Farmer's Market is open from June to October.
Everything and anything you could want or need, this suburb has, not to mention downtown Minneapolis is less than a 30 minute drive and a drive in the countryside is right down the road.
What Schools will the Kids Attend?
If you buy a home in Bonaire, children will be part of school district #284; Wayzata school district. The Wayzata School District is very well-known for it's academic excellence. There are also private school options very close to the community. The schools the children will attend will be Kimberly Lane Elementary, Central Middle School, and Wayzata High School.
