Perhaps the BEST Dog Park in Carlsbad

This could be the ultimate dog park in Carlsbad, or anywhere nearby. Unless you think the beach is better. But I'm not a dog owner so I might be wrong.

The Alga Norte Community Park offers a wealth of options for Carlsbad dogs (and their owners). It’s a beautiful park so why not offer the best for area canines, too!?

· Carlsbad dogs A 30,000 SF fenced area

· Separate areas for small and large dogs (a issue at some smaller dog parks)

· Benches, shaded tables for picnics, drinking fountains for the dogs and people

· Obstacle course play equipment (ramps, tunnels)

The Alga Norte Community Park is located at 6565 Alicante Road at Poinsettia in South Carlsbad, in the La Costa Greens area.

Hi Jeff, We rally need these places as an outlet for the dogs to get to play and meet others. I hope more communities will see the need and set some park land aside for the lttle ones.

I love dog parks. There are a few about 7-15 miles from my house now but we just got approval for one in my town less than 2 miles away. We're so excited!

WIlliam - the dog park has been very popular, at least from what I have seen since I drive by often.

Chris - that IS exciting. Dog owners must be thrilled. As William says it's nice to see communities setting aside space for dogs and their owners to enjoy.

There is a dog park that just opened in Cheshire and it is loaded with 4 legged kids and as noted it also has separate areas for big and little. The dogs run in packs around that area and the 'parents' are right behinds with the courtesy bags
