Calvert County July 4th 2014 Celebrations
Can you believe that Independence Day is just 10 days away? We in Calvert County believe that the celebrating should not be restricted to just one day, though. That's why there are several Calvert County July 4th 2014 celebrations scheduled on the 3rd AND the 4th!
Start the Calvert County July 4th 2014 celebrations early by heading to Chesapeake Beach on Thursday, July 3rd. Railway Trail will be especially decked out for America's birthday. The Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum is always a great place to learn about the area's history. Cool off during the day at the Chesapeake Beach Waterpark. Then, when the sun sets for the evening, watch the night skies light up with an amazing fireworks show.
On Friday the 4th, it's time to trek to Solomons for more Calvert County July 4th 2014 celebrations. The patriotic boat parade is a sight to see. Local Calvert County businesses will also be sponsoring fun activities for the entire family throughout the day. Then, when the sun goes to bed, the celebrating really begins. Lay claim to your piece of the Riverwalk and settle in as a barge shoots fiery balls of light into the night sky on the Patuxent River. You'll be "oohing" and "aahing" right along with the little ones.
There is a very slight chance of rain in the forecast during all the Calvert County July 4th 2014 celebrations. If the events do get rained out, they will commence on Saturday, July 5th. Celebrate our nation's independence. Take the family and your friends out for fun and fireworks both days of the Calvert County July 4th Celebrations.
