"I can fly. I'm a pilot."

Many may recognize these famous words from the movie, Independence Day, but how often to they get to be heard, every day? Yes. I toss them around all day, every day. I even spouted the quote to the vending machine repaire guy. Most receipients of such words simply look towards me quizicly, but someone today asked me if I am actually a pilot. Yes. See this little plastic card? "Certified Pilot." That's P-I-L-O-T, Pilot.

I love to fly in the big commercial planes and have done so many times as my husband was employed at both United and American Airlines. My husband, a son and a best friend all got their pilot's license, but me, just call me chicken little. No way. Take a few flying lessons and go up in a flying machine and purposely stall it. Hahahaha. Not me:) But happy for you, Rachel. You worked hard to get your certificated license and you enjoy it.

At least you don't have a fear so debilitating it keeps you from flying entirely, airline flights can be fun, too!

You should give it a try sometime, it's really not as scary or adventurous as it looks!

I am glad to hear you can still cherish those memories. From the moment I step foot on the ramp, a huge grin consumes my entire face, even during the scary moments.
