Every year I get away with a group of close friends. We usually go horse camping in the mountains. This year, circumstances were different for a couple of the ladies, so we decided to do something out of the norm. Stayed a few days at Brasada Ranch in Central Oregon.
There is much to do there. The resort has a full spa, athletic center, a rec room for kids, 3 dining options, espresso bar ( thank goodness), golf, bikes, hiking trails, horseback rides and an endless offering of off-site excursions like fly fishing, white water rafting and helicopter rides.
We checked in, got settled, checked out our two rooms and compared the differences in each. The rooms are nicely appointed with gas fireplaces, leather furniture, 2 flat screen tvs, tile and glass over sized showers and patios or decks with views of the 6 major mountains in the Cascade range.
Some of us took a 3 hour bike ride around the facilities and through the residential neighborhood, stopping on the loop back at Spirit Rock, the highest point on the grounds. There was a bench there to allow us a nice break from peddling.
If you are looking for a nearby vacation (if you live in Oregon) or a destination in Oregon (if you are from out of state) I recommend at least a couple days at Brasada to relax, unwind and breath in the clean, Central Oregon air. I know, I will be going back!
So now that I am rested, recharged and ready to go, I can help you with your real estate needs, especially when it comes to small farms and horse property in Oregon!
