Nearly four years ago on 8/7/2010 at 8:54 p.m. I pulled up the courage to write my first post on ActiveRain. Now, here I am at 556,753 points later thinking back to that first post, like the first kiss it was pretty scary! I'm sure you know what I mean, you want it to happen! You hope it's going to happen! You're not sure if you're going to love what you get or not. Then suddenly out of nowhere five heads popped up on my computer screen and wrote comments back to me. I was elated! Just like that first kiss, I felt dizzy!
I am grateful for my first contacts here in the RAIN. They are:
Jack Mossman Nestor & Kateria Gasset Letitia Stevenson Ron Marshall
These wonderful people welcomed me to ActiveRain. I was so nervous, sweaty palms and all! Does anyone know what happened to Jack? His last post was in 2011. Here's my first post:
Being a Realtor has taught me to be more thankful. The work is not easy but it is very rewarding. Saying thankful and being thankful is different. People understand when you are sincere because gratitude comes from the heart. You can see it in someone’s eyes. You can feel it when it is genuine and you appreciate it when it is real and sincere. Building relationships, knowing how to effectively communicate, listening and achieving results paves the way to success which ultimately leads to gratitude straight from the heart.
For those of you who know me, aren't you surprised at how short I kept my post? Me too! Maybe that's because I was so shy...
Jack, Nestor & Kateria, Letitia and Ron gave me the courage to keep writing. Today I give special thanks to this brave people who encouraged to keep writing. They did not make me buckle under my knees, like my first kisser. Nor did they make me break out in a sweat. They were kind. Thoughtful. And I am thankful that my beginnings began with such wonderful people. Since then, I can honestly say I have built new relationship. For example I have even met people outside of the RAIN: Joni Stapleton and Kerrie at RAIN CAMP in Houston. Then within the last two years, Sally and David Hanson, Michael Thornton, and Fernando Herboso made sure to see me when they were in Dallas. Plus, I got to know Sharon Parisi and Lorrie Semler from Dallas better just because of AR too! I have so made so many connections with so many great people that I didn't even know exist. To the rest of you, all I can say is thank you!!!
