Alexander County Cooperative Extension is excited to announce that the Alexander Farmers’ Market will open for the 2014 season on Saturday, June 14, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the old hospital parking lot
Some items available initially should include: onions, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, okra, green beans, corn, squash, cantaloupes, peaches, various plants, baked goods, jams and jellies, and much more. All items must be grown or produced locally or in our region of North Carolina.
Market spaces are only $3 a spot for anyone wanting to sell some extra garden vegetables or fruits, jams or jellies, or homemade crafts.
