Home sales in the Irving area were down 2% in May 2014 compared to last year, with 166 homes selling this month. So far this year, overall home sales have an increase of 5%, with 672 homes sold. New Irving real estate listings increased 22% from last year, with 270 homes listed this month. For the year-to-date, home listings have increased 4%, with 1,010 homes listed. The number of current listings under contract this month was down 15%, at 160 homes. Listings under contract for the year-to-date have increased 4%, with 776 homes under contract.
