Car Wash Baby!

By

I never wash my car. It’s too much work and I have more important things to do. Besides, my bikini days are over. Mother Nature DOES change the bark of a tree.

Oh my gosh look at me!

Not don't look at me!

I’m not as smooth as a young tree!

Oh there was a time when washing a car was fun. Back then, I would get a whistle. Today I would get a bark and a howl! Those days of washing the car in a bikini or a bathing suit in public are long gone. Besides, this isn’t Florida or California. I live in Texas and even a wet T-Shirt, cut offs and a pair of cowboy boots on a woman my age isn’t all that exciting. Sure, you can get your exercise and a car wash too, but why bother when a good Car Wash Service Company can get the same job done in a fraction of the time it takes to drag out the right products to clean your car and wheels.

Now I’m a man watcher! I'm keeping my eyes on the guys, watching my car get cleaned with grease lightening while I’m virtually conducting business, getting my Social Media done, or talking on the Cell Phone. Life is Good! I go to the Car Wash to get my car washed, cleaned, and dried in a fraction of the time and I drive away happy. Plus, I don't even have to apply sun screen!

By the way, the last time I washed my car, I got the looks and whistles too. Now my eye sight isn’t as good as when I was younger when I wore that itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, yellow polka dot bikini; however, in one brief flashback in time, I was Sweet 16 or Sassy, Classy 17 all over again. Yeah baby! Car Wash!

Hi Hannah,

Hey sister, sister, I'm glad you appreciate my originality and humor. If only there was a Magic Mike Car Wash - wouldn't that fun!

Patricia,

What a fun and original post.  I love having the car washed by someone else...too much time.  When we had our offices in a high rise, we had a special service in the parking area, and they would wash our cars weekly and was them monthly....In LA, you car has to look great, LOL A

Ooh la la! Alexandra, that sounds like a royal treat! Since a car in LA has to look great, I'd probably get thrown out of LA! But what a lifestyle! First impressions market you for success from the moment you step inside your vehicle. That's pretty insightful and good sage advice for me!

Patricia you are a crack up. I have a hand car wash close to me that I go to and they really do a great job. There has been so much rain off and on that I have had a hard time keeping her clean and shiny.

Patricia, I am always telling Maurice to wash the car in the driveway but he insists on the car wash too!  Yes our days of short shorts and two piece bathing suits are over, reminds me of a cute video I recently saw, I will have to find it and post just for FUN!

Hi Patricia, I use to love to wash my car. Then my husband and I would wash our cars together. It was fun.  But, now, like you it is the car wash baby

Hey Girl....you got me thinking about a Jim Croce song. It's called...Working at the Car Wash Blues. Good song. Maybe there's a video on YouTube.

I like the drive thru ones. It's like going through McDonalds. Fast and easy...only you don't get a hamburger at the end. You just get a clean car. I took my car through one yesterday, and then a bird pooped on the hood. Oh well. That's what paper towels are for.

Yo Debbie --- I remember Jim Croce's song about the Car Wash. I'm singing it in my head now that you mentioned it! They should make a sequal to the original. What do you think?

Good morning Patricia. I do occasionally wash the car because it creates an image for the company especially because it is wrapped.

Good morning Patricia. Maybe not in your bikini these days, but there are lots of reason for you to get whistled at.

Make it a great weekend!

Hi Patricia -- I saw a facebook post this week from an agent who had just finished washing his and his wife's car and talk about how therapeutic it is.   Well, I live in a condo and it's not allowed so my car gets its beauty treatment either at the office where we have someone who comes a couple times a week or the the car wash --- it's a better use of my time.

Patricia, car wash for me too baby! I have someone come to my house and one of my neighbors always tells me I'm spoiled. The reality is like you, my time is better spent doing something else. I leave the car washing to the pros!

Patricia,

I always had light colored cars but 4 years ago I bought a navy SUV and had to wash it all the time as it showed all the dirt and dust. Just sold it 2 weeks ago and bought a lighter color so now I only have to go to the carwash about 10-12 times a year. Oh Yeah...
