The Rebirth and Magic of Summer

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

The beginning of summer is magical and magnificent. The earth pulsates with vivid hues that are bold and bright beyond my comprehension. How could something as tiny as a seed produce such exquisiteness after the long and dormant season of winter? This annual phenomenon is a reawakening, a reason for celebration. I look forward to experiencing every flower, blade of grass, the trees, leaves, and stems that shoot out of the earth, between rocks, on hills, prairies, amongst the farm fields and inside and around the ponds.

My eyes are on creation. I am just a traveler passing through this way in the world. These thoughts that swarm through my head when I'm this close and personal with nature fills my heart with love and devotion to keep the environment safe and healthy. I could not imagine life without flowers and all the living creatures that flutters and lands upon something this beautiful. This is their source of food and nutrition. The eyes of the earth look back at me and I am reminded, they depend on us for their survival.

Thank you for your sharing your thoughts on the importance of appreciation and sustainability. The recent episode of pesticides killing the bees breaks my heart too. At least I have experienced the beauty of flowers. Will my granddaughter and the next generation be so lucky? We could all do more. Big business that sells the product of pesticides that destroys creation for profit must not win.

Thank you Will. I appreciate reading comments. I find it to be encouraging. Positive feedback makes me know I'm on the right track. Like I said, I'm not a published author. I'm sure people will forget me but if my words live on and other people were inspired, perhaps I would not have lived in vain.

What a beautiful flower with great prose to help us visualize the miracle of the sun and rain merging into summer.

I love flowers and the beautiful hues that spring and summer seasons bring.  It's amazing to take all in the wonders of creation.  Although we are only passing through, it's a great place to be a part of, even if it's just temporary.  I love your work. Excellent blog!

Patricia you are right, how such a small plain looking seed can produce something as huge and beautiful as a Sunflower is beyond explanation, except for God's hand being involved.

Patricia,

I am so aware of how delicately balanced life is and how easy it is for something to get out of balance and then the domino effect that it has on all of creation.  We need to protect and appreciate God's artistic creation around us.

Good morning Patricia. I love reading your posts, they always inspire me, no matter what the topic. Too bad more folks aren't as conscious about the environment and all that surrounds us.

Make it a great week!

Hi Patricia, I LOVE the Sunflowers and have a favorite memory of planting them on our little farm in NJ and also going on a motorcycle ride along a country road with fields of them!

Hi Patricia, one of my favorite... sunflowers.  I toured a home during the Lewisburg Home and Garden Tour and the owners had sunflowers in every room...live ones and artificial ones. A little overkill, but lovely to look at.

Patricia, I think spring was better, the temps are hovering near 90, and we don't get much precipitation and things are drying out.
