Take time to stop and smell the flowers

This is a comment, on one of my blogs, by Vero Beach, Florida real estate professional and ActiveRain blogger Karen Anne Mathers. All of us know this old saying but in the rush of business and active personal lives, many of us fail to stop to smell the flowers.

As we prepare for the challenges of a new month, let’s remember to include lots of summertime activities on our schedule for quality time with our family and friends. The quality time spent with those that we love may be remembered long after those extra hours of work.

I am enjoying the summer with all of its blooms because it seemed to be a very long winter for me.  Every night I am out watering my gardens and taking in the beauty.  It does a mind good.

I am very guilty of NOT doing that, i rush through my day and often miss the beauty around me. Only as of late have a slowed down my pace to work smarter which i am getting more done, and less of the hectic pace.

I just got back from a peaceful week at the Lake house.  Fishing, running, reading, relaxing and of course sitting by the pool working on my tan.  Your blog is a great reminder of what is important and time to enjoy life now.  Having the balance between work and taking time to smell the roses.

The weather was muggy for my morning walk through Kentlands and Lakelands. Crowds were cheering the swim competitions in Lakelands and in Kentlands and the vendors were busy at the Farmers Market in Kentlands.
