INEXPENSIVE HOME IMPROVEMENTS THAT MAKE YOUR HOME MORE SELLABLE!

By

PAINT...PAINT...PAINT!

Painting any homes interior or exterior can make a HUGE difference on the overall appeal of your home. Beige with White trim makes a home look classy, expensive and fresh. BRIGHT / BOLD colors need to be toned down or made neutral.

CLEANLINESS:

"IS NEXT TO GODLINESS" is a true statement. Keep the whole house clean, including outside, basements, bathrooms and most especially Kitchens! Keep it CLUTTER free.

Dust, sweep, mop, water plants, keep all kitchen appliances clean, keep kitchen appliance equipment put away (i.e. toasters, crock pots, coffee pots, etc.) put them away in a cabinet, keep counters clean and clear.

LIGHT:

Make sure blinds are clean, curtains are in good shape and keep them OPEN when your home is on the market. Dark and dingy is a turn off.

CURB APPEAL:

Make it appealing, if there are no plants, bushes, trees or flowers, the curb appeal is not there. If you have fencing in the front yard that is worn, PAINT it or replace it. Screen doors, is torn and tattered, replace them or remove them.  IF the front of the whom is not appealing, most Buyers will not even go inside. That's a fact!

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Keep family photos to a minimum. Buyers want to visualize THEIR stuff there, not yours.

FIREPLACES:

Make sure the FACE and MANTLE are clean, fresh and clutter free. Make sure ALL ashes if wood burning are cleaned out and inside is freshened up.

PETS:

If you have pets, make sure they are kept clean so that the odor is at a minimum. If there is a pet odor in the home, purchase FABREEZE to spray, Mr. Clean with FABREEZE to clean with and purchase candles that are light in scent that will not over power the persons viewing your home but accent your home. Things like "Sugar Cookie, Brownie, Apple Pie" etc. are good as they make it feel as though you have been BAKING in your home and brings a sense of "HOME SWEET HOME"!
