Who's your pick?
The candidates economic plan will obviously have an impact upon the notary industry as the government attempts to respond to the mortgage crisis. Whoever becomes the president may indicate how America feels the situation should be handled.

Here's a quick look at each candidates positions:

This is a neat idea, to pick a president based on his/her response to mortgage crisis. Industry perceptive presidents, so to say.

Do you really like this idea? I don't. I also hope that this should not be decided by the President, or any other person, or government agency. We have the market for that. Let it do its work.

I hear what you're saying Jon, but I think you are mistaken if you believe the president won't have a say in dealing with the mortgage crisis. In fact, the only reason I brought it up was because of recent comments Obama made attacking McCain's approach to the situation.

Personally, I think the free market economy would do a better job of determining a solution than the government. But I don't think that is an electable platform. If it were, Ron Paul would have a much better showing than he does.

The reason I propose the question here is because I think it is important that industry experts express their views about the issues effecting the election. A good president will listen and propose appropriate solutions.

I'm McCain, just based on principle and the fact that the Democrats are just oozing with issues. I mean, there is more to running the USA than the mortgage debacle. It's important to me, however, I want to live in free America...that is the most important thing to me. Living in the USA...hopefully McCain will figure it out...not hopefully, I take that back, I'm sure he's already working on this mess.

Brad, I am not arguing with you. I just find it a bit funny that we dissect the presidency with a narrowy industry approach. I simply do not believe in this.

I sincerely wish you the best.

It seems like both candidates will just go along with Paulson's 700 billion dollar bailout now.

Neither candidate seems very happy about the bailout.  McCain opposes it vigorously and Obama says it will cost us all dearly.  Doesn't sound like much of an endorsement to me.
