In June of 2014, RealtyTrac reported currently 1,114,483 properties are distress or REOs, while 1,131,067 homes are for sale on RealtyTrac.com. Overall, properties received a foreclosure filing in May of 2014 were 5% lower than April 2014 and 26% lower than the same period previous year.
Home sales were higher 17.0% in April of 2014, from March of 2014, but lower 23% from April 2013. The median list price of homes was $199,950, median sales price of a non-distressed home was $182,000, while median sales price of a distressed home was 36.0% lower to $115,700 price.
