As tempting as those fireworks stands can be, remember that fireworks are illegal in Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo Beach. Don't court a hefty ticket fee, instead join the community in one or more of the various independence day celebrations across town. We at Caskey & Caskey would also like to thank the men and women of our Armed Forces for continuing to protect this great country!

REDONDO BEACH

Tickets are still available for the 8th Annual Redondo Beach 4th of July celebration at Seaside Lagoon! The Fireworks show will feature stirring patriotic music and a wide variety of fireworks perfectly matched and timed to the music - a true pyromusical production launched only 300 yards away. Through the pyrotechnic mastery of Fireworks America, this year's show will firmly establish the Redondo Beach 4th of July show as one of the premiere fireworks displays in Southern California.

When: July 4th, Gates open at 2pm--fireworks start at 9 pm
Where: 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
Cost: tickets start at $22 adult/$15 child
Info: http://redondofireworks.com/index.cfm

Also in REDONDO BEACH . . .

If you are lucky enough to live within view of RAT (Torrance) beach, you may even catch the privately funded fireworks show generously shared with the community by 94 year old resident, Jackie Briles, who every year foots the $60k bill to honor America in style. Rise and shine early on Independence Day and start the day off with a bang by participating in The Village Runner's 21st annual 5k Firecracker Dash, then grab your BBQ or picnic essentials and head on down to the beach for a great day in the sun.
