Sacramento County Kiefer Landfill Hours, They Are Probably Open Today

I have a trailer that is frequently in need on bringing to a dump or landfill, I tear up a lot of debris. The Sacramento County Landfill is very good at being available for those like me who need to dump their trash often. It seems like this dump site is always open.

I’m not saying that landfill is open 24/7, but they are open almost every day of the year. Today is the Fourth of July and they are open! So I’m heading over because I need to unload.

If you have a need to dump some trash in the Sacramento area, get over to the Kiefer site.

Tom - Leave it to you to be the best informant on this topic!  Question - does your landfill have the capability to divert some of the debris away from the landfill?

Tony & Darcy - It makes things so much easier when you know that you can go to the dump on any day.

We all have our niches Jan. lol

A few years back there was a five year plan to reduce the amount of trash buried in the county by something like 50%. It seemed impossible at the time, but we have done a great job in diversion. I think the consumer is the weakest link though. When I go to the landfill, I drive and unload at many different areas. Appliances, metals, tires, concrete, etc. but it isn't policed too well. I could easily just dump my whole load in the landfill.
