Yes, people do judge you by your grammar
Yes, this post was written in 2012, but guess what folks? The message is still true! Be careful when blogging, or writing a flyer, property description or correspondence of any type. We are professionals and that's how we want to be viewed, right? So take the time to be sure you used the right words!

Dear Bloggers,
Please proofread. People will judge you by your ability to use the written English language appropriately.
Thanks,
Granny Grammar
Here are some common mistakes I've seen around AR:
- you're and your - "You're" is a contraction for "You are" and "Your" is a possessive pronoun. For example, "Be happy when you're selling your home."
- its and it's - "It's" means "It is." If your sentence would make sense with "it is," then you can use "it's." If not, then use "its." "Look at that dog! It's wagging its tail!"
- two, too, and to - The word "two" is a number. The word "too" means the same thing as "also." And the word "to" can be used for everything else. As in "I know two ways to sell homes, too."
- their, there, and they're - "Their" is possessive, as in "Their house is cute." "There" is a direction, as in "There is their house." "They're" is a contraction for "They are," as in "There is their house. It looks like they're home."
