Otterbein, Indiana small town pride
What's the best use of real estate when it is decaying and in disrepair? In this case the owner donated the land to the Town of Otterbein and a delightful litte sitting area with gazebo and landscaped greeen space was created where the former business building was located. It is a wonderful area to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, and the next time we pick up a pizza at the Otterbein Pizza King I know just the quiet place to enjoy the meal!
Bruce & Sharon, This is such a great use of donated space for the Town of Otterbein. The entire town gets to enjoy and share the legacy the donor left behind. I bet the pizza would taste even better enjoying it on the park bench.

Kathleen, we have just "discovered" Otterbein when he had to go to and fro with our Otterbein Lake listing. I just love this little park on the main street as it is so clean, neat, and such a relaxing place to sit and contemplate. The Otterbein Pizza King is absolutely the best pizza in the Lafayette area!

I'm glad this was a successful project and it benefitted the greater good. This was not the case in my town and it hurt a lot of people. Otterbein IS a great place to live!

Patricia, Otterbein is a small bedroom community and it is comforting to know that some of the business buildings are still there with active businesses operating within them. What better use of space when an owner is no longer able to make a go of it!
I love those little unexpected parks scattered about in both small towns and big cities. It is space anyone can enjoy and good for the community.
