Sometimes you have to build it to repair it.

When it comes to siding repair, window replacement, and even painting you have to create a working platform to do the job. Scaffolding is the safest and quickest way to do that. The idea of building something to repair something is something that many do not consider when getting an estimate of costs.

Funny - I was just thinking about scaffolding this morning.

I want to repaint the living room, which has a cathedral ceiling, and a stairway going down one side. Getting up there to paint is going to be tricky. I got to wondering if we could put scaffolding up in stair-steps...

My husband used to be a building contractor, so I need to ask him if he still has scaffolding laying around, and if he does, if any of it will fit the stairwell.

Tom~ In many cases scaffolding is the only solution to get to where you need to get to.

So true Tom.  Scaffolding is the least thing on a homeowners mind when they are considering a repair job!

Be careful on that scaffolding Marte, sometimes we forget where we are.  :)

Many just assume that working up the building is the same as on the ground level Jan. It can be a substantially longer undertaking to replace siding 20 feet in the air.

Anything can be done Will, some things just take longer to do.  :)
