Craig thank goodness for you! I had no idea of where to find this important stuff. I will do as you say and I do hope they bring back the following tab.

Craig, I've got your shortcut URL for my subscribed feed saved in an Outlook note. I fire up a separate Firefox browser tab just for cruising my blog feed. Thanks for giving us that tip when the glitch first hit!
This was a HUGE mistake on AR's part. It is so annoying and so frustrating. I don't believe for a second they had input on this and following was one of the buttons I clicked the most often. this should not be this difficult. the social blog is annoying & clunky and slow and also requires additional clicks.
Many posts are not getting comments now beause people miss them. they don't even realize that they are only getting subscribed wi/ AR community. Until they fix this, this is where we should post.
I have way to many bookmarks to add another and find it easily, but even that takes more clicks.
My patience is wearing thin.
when I spoke to Kerry a few weeks ago, it sounded like it would be in the next update when they allow us to customize the buttons. I hope they stick w/ that, but not sure if they will.
nonetheless, this is stupid since most newcomers won't even understand how to customize.
It's driving me bonkers. Can't you tell?
- Debbie
Craig - that filter+subscribed link sends me to the same information as the column on the right side of the page when I click on "Recent Posts." That column is who I am subscribed to, in order of recent posts.
Catherine - glad I was able to highlight something new :)
Anna B - the following link back would be the best news!
Bill - so glad you are getting mileage out of my tip - my shortcut is getting lots of use also!
Debbie - driving me bonkers too! I understand the next update is coming next week. I'm trying to be patient as I know the complications of being a developer. But what a relief to get it back. Some posts are SEO targeted and we expect good click numbers but lesser interaction. But our peer to peer posts where we want the interaction - these posts are just not getting seen like before. VERY FRUSTRATING. Huge oversight but fixable!
Jay - the filter+subscribed works but has a major problem - it only shows posts in each of the singular categories and not "show all" - the right column shows all the people with recent posts in the correct order (you just have to ignore the timeframe stamp) - for example mine shows posted "4 months ago" when it was within the past couple of hours
Thanks Craig,
This was very helpful and I have the link saved for access. Works very well.
Craig you are correct it was frustrating we lost that key feature. Once I located where this was hiding I did add to my bookmark tool. Thanks for sharing.
Good evening Craig. I have been so busy building my business that I have not had a lot of time to full around with activerain. I leave it to geeks like you to help us out in our times of need. Thanks for your continued support for us "dummies".
Craig - It should not be this difficult to find the important stuff. Nice work on finding and sharing.
Craig, thank you for this post. I echo you and Debbie that it is extremely frustrating. Unless someone reads your post, they won't know this valuable information. I have been turned off to reading posts which I thought were four months old because that is what it said in the right bar. Now, I see that those posts are only minutes or hours old and those people lost my readership on them.
It is too time intensive to have to make multiple clicks to find what one is looking for. Comments and interaction are way down. Please Active Rain, fix this!
Interesting as always. When I'm finished I'll check out the social blog link thanks
Craig, thanks so much for keeping us up to date with this. Every post of yours has such value and by my comment I have it bookmarked to go back through the steps to re-instate our blog roll that is up to date with all posts!
The tricks and shortcuts I can learn ... wow! But I agree ... I wish the steps to find those I subscribe to were easier and more quickly found. Hopefully ... soon!
Gene
Wow, I had no idea what the social blog was. But, like you, I miss my "following" button. Let's hope they reconsider that.
