I get emails from other AR members who ask me how I consistently move up in the ranks. Well, blogging helps. And, it is certainly the lifeblood of our business these days.
However, commenting ranks right up there as well. Why? You only get 25 points per comment per day up to 10 comments. BUT, if you make 20 comments per day and set aside a specified time to READ those posts. Guess what happens? The authors like you. And, they return the favor, mostly, (but we won't go into that here).
There are some authors whom I still read, but never comment on because they haven't bothered commenting on a single post of mine. Call me jealous. I call it courtesy. Once in a while I have something that is of interest.
But, yet, I seek out new voices. They need encouragement. But, they must remember to comment back once in a while.
This is all a give and take.....a really great give and take. But, remember, if someone takes the time to comment and not just click through, you might have a subscriber. And, those are really the lifeblood that brings you the Gjuice.
