Agoura Hills is an interesting Southern California community. It is located in the "Conejo Valley" of southern California, a mostly planned community located at the Los Angeles and Ventura county line. It is situated within the Los Angeles County side, but is closer in nature and stature to the communities of Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks than to the "San Fernado Valley". 30 miles from downtown LA, 30 miles from Ventura Harbor, 60 miles from Santa Barbara, yet only 10 miles from Malibu. It is a very old community which was originally on the pony express corridor, a stagecoach stop and originally part of the Las Virgines Mexican Land Grant. The population is about 20,000.
There are hiking and biking trails, protected open space AND protected species! It is part of the chaparell and woodlands ecosystem, and many places in and around Agoura Hill can only be enjoyed by hiking! It is an affluent area and residents enjoy the many positive lifestyle features.
Condos listed for sale in Agoura Hills are few and far between right now. There are only 17 active condo/ townhome listings. There are 8 TWO-BEDROOM units, ranging from $314,000 to $439,900. There are only 8 THREE-BEDROOM units, ranging in price from $344,000 to $579,000. And there is one FOUR-BEDROOM unit currently listed at $523,900. This count is particularly low for this time of year, which means Agoura Hills condo-owners are choosing to stay put!
Here's what the inventory looks like:
So what does this buy you in an Agoura Hills condo or townhome? 2 to 3 bedrooms, 2 - 3 Bathrooms, 980 to 2000 square feet, tiny lot size with patio, a community with open space and a pool, walking paths and convenient location. And like the rest of the Conejo Valley, it also gets you year-round delightful, sunny weather! You can drive less than 20 minutes to the beach! You can hike and bike and run and swim year round! You can be in Los Angeles for a game or a concert in about an hour. You can get to Disneyland in about an hour & a half (leave early! lol!). You can pick your own produce at the farms in Moorpark, ride horses in Simi Valley, visit Early California Missions in Ventura and Santa Barbara. Take a boat ride to the Channel Islands. Go whale watching 6 - 8 months out of the year! Kayak at Channel Islands Harbor. Eat the best clam chowder around at Brophy Brothers. Surf at Zuma Beach.
This community has so much to offer! If you are interested in checking out real estate in Westlake Village, check out my #1 website at www.ConejoValleyHomeExpert.com.
Welcome to paradise!
