Is Your Pinterest the Ultimate Scrapbook?

Services for Real Estate Pros with RISMedia

“Home” is the most searched word on Pinterest.

Because of that, real estate professionals (and anyone else involved in the homeownership industry) have a unique advantage when it comes to pinning. The fact is, people out there are actively searching for what you’re selling. That, my friends, is every seller’s dream.

If you were pinspired by my last blog regarding Pinterest (and if you haven’t checked out those board ideas yet, click here), then consider this a follow-up.
Here are three more ways to get pinspired:

Don’t go at it blindly. We know “home” is the most searched word. How can we best tap into that? Use apps like Viraltag (it’s good enough for the Discovery Channel!) or Tailwind, which help you manage image-based social media by tracking trends.
Create a private board exclusively for your clients. Invite them to pin all of their dream home features prior to meeting. Not only is this a great conversation-starter, but it will give you the head start you need to deliver on those dreams!

Make Pinterest your ultimate scrapbook.
No matter what you decide to pin, it’s important to be authentic. Think of Pinterest as a virtual scrapbook where you can share your passions and experiences. An easy task for successful agents – most ARE passionate about real estate!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t include some pinnable resources:

Happy pinning!

Thanks very much for the mention Suzanne! I know there are a lot of real estate agents who are not utilizing Pinterest. If you are reading this you should be! Pinterest is my #1 traffic source. There are no other social media sites that have the life span of a piece of content. For example you can post something to Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, ect and within a couple of days it will be out of mind and out of site. Not so with Pinterest! Your content can and will be shared endlessly if it is exceptiona.

For anyone who wants to learn check out Pinterest for real estate where I have written a comprehensive article on how Realtors can use Pinterest for business.

I love all the ideas and pictures but as a Realtor, was having a hard time deciding how to use it to my advantage. I am also a stager and have some wonderful pictures of grounds that I have done so I am going to pin some of my landscaping ideas.

Suzanne, With buiding my new house I have used Pinterest boards to help me get ideas together and decide on styling and details. It is amazing how many people have pinned my selections and the real purpose was that it was for me.

Hi Suzanne~ Hmm, home is the most often used word, huh? I need to make good use of that knowledge!

I'm trying to be careful of the time I spend on Pinterest, to be sure it doesn't become a time vampire and that it compliments what I'm already doing!
