The Quaker Steak and Lube Experience

By

The newest addition to the shopping strip in League City off of 646, Quaker Steak and Lube, gave me doubts. But don’t let this oddly named restaurant fool you. The food is fantastic! While perusing through the lengthy menu, a choice was to be made. The Mac and cheeseburger or play it safe and get the wings. I went with the wings, and long story short my experience there was both exciting and satisfying. Perhaps the coolest part is the vintage feel to it, some lucky customers can dine below a fully sized old-school Ferrari. As a man of competitive nature, Quaker Steak and Lube fuels my burning fire and I don’t mean it coming from the extremely hot wings I ate. The challenge is to eat five of the second hottest wings they offer, cleverly named the Atomic Wings. Only then can you proceed to the Triple Atomic, made with ghost peppers, one of the hottest in the world.

Whether you fancy yourself a connoisseur of spice or not, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Restaurants in League City, have their work cut out for them, because Quaker Steak and Lube means business. It is just what the dauntingly busy, Jimmy Changas next door needs; some competition. For the denizens of League City and Dickinson, it is an excellent addition.
