I was surprised when a Doctor talked about marathons and how many people get To much water.

Drinking to much water can make us literally drown in ourselves.

He, don't get him wrong, but to much water isn't a good thing.

He would prefer to see people drink something more like Powerade or Gatorade.

When we sweat a lot we lose vital minerals.

I personally know that if I get dehydrated, water just not cut it.  But, Powerade will get me back on track in a very short time.

Energy drinks and pop do just the opposite and rob you of the nutrients that you need.

Be good to your body and use water and one of the nutrient replacing drinks alternating.  Works great for me.

I have been water logged (as we used to say) a few times during football practice when I over saturated my body. Not a good thing.

We have never tried that.  But, I don't run marathons either....in fact, I don't run at all unless absolutely necessary!  Have a good one, Bill!

The hydration drinks have become an important addition to our outside activities.  If they didn't work...Professional sports would not be using them.

I am a big water fan. I have it with me constantly. My climate is very dry and everything dries out. I will only use the sports drinks when I'm doing something physical.
