Fun things to do in Colorado this weekend: Colorado Renaissance Festival

Step back in time to the magical Renaissance period….. Dress up even though it isn’t Halloween. (Costumes are available for rent at the fair.) Or don’t dress up. I didn’t. Enjoy the food. The ever changing sights. The music. The people. The games. The artisans.

The Colorado Renaissance Festival is being held on weekends, now through August 3, 2014 in Larkspur, Colorado. The hours are from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Parking is free. It's conveniently located between Colorado Springs and the Denver.

I had the opportunity to go on the opening weekend this year and had a blast. Naturally, my favorite picture of the day was a dashing knight on his horse.

Such a fun event and has that Medieval theme to it. Reminds me of the Scarborough Fair one we have in Waxahachie.
