The Denver Botanic Gardens are lovely place to visit. However, Dale Chihuly’s glass sculpture exhibit that is spread out over the 24 acre grounds offers an entirely different level of enchantment. The glass sculptures are so well coordinated into the gardens, I initially thought they were a permanent part of the gardens.
The Chihuly exhibit is running from June 14 – November 30, 2014. I had an opportunity to see parts of the exhibit on June 1 before it officially opened. I liked the Denver Botanic Garden’s so much that I plan to buy a membership on my next visit.

The Denver Botanic Gardens are located at 1007 York Street in Denver, 10 minutes east of down town Denver. Denver is maybe an hour/hour and a half north of Colorado Springs.
On the weekends, the gardens are normally open from 9 am to 9 pm during the summer. Last entry is at 8 pm. Be sure to check their website before you go because the occasionally have early closings for evens or concerts. In July, they currently will be closing at 3 pm on Wed, July 16; Sunday July 27 and Monday July 28th.
