Below are the North County San Diego zip code breakdowns for first half ending 2014 compared to first half ending 2013. As you can see, homes in the North County area remain strong with only one zip code slightly down. While things cooled in May, June came back across the county as sales of previously owned single-family homes rose 14 percent and sales of previously owned condominiums/townhomes jumped 16 percent. One big help has been an increase in homes for sale coming on the market. Homes on the Multiple Listing Service have risen nearly 8,000 throughout San Diego County, the highest level since February 2012. Interest rates remain low which has helped the average amount of time between home listings and close of escrow to fall to less than 40 days in June. In June, the North County zip codes with the most single-family home sales were Carlsbad 92009. Carmel Valley 92130 and Encinitas 92024.
